The McMillen Gallery is thrilled to announce the sale of our fist ever Platinum Palladium print. Platinum palladium printing is a traditional photographic printmaking technique dating back to a period in photographic history that predates silver gelatin prints. The prints are exposed by UV light, and were originally exposed by the sun. The prints are created by way of "contact printing" which means the photographic negative must be as large as the final print.

The McMillen Gallery is thrilled to present "LUNAR", the McMillens newest horse release. This new release has been several years in the making and is only offered in an edition of 10, with two artist proofs being available. The piece is the combination of two sheets of film stacked together and exposed at the same time, this process takes two sheets of film to create one stunning final image. You can say a bit of thought went into its making.

The hand pressed prints are mounted to wood block and finished off with an encaustic finish which is bees wax and resin. The wax and resin mixture is melted and painted over the piece, this finish creates a soft finish filled with texture. THE MCMILLENS PROVE IT YET AGAIN!
The McMillens are proud to announce that their limited edition of “Infinity” and "One Moment" have been accepted into the Professional Photographers of America’s "Loan Collection for 2015".
The International Photographic Competition (IPC) is presented each year through the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), entries from over 50 countries flood the judges and only the best of the best are awarded top honors of being welcomed into the coveted "LOAN COLLECTION".
The IPC is the world's most prestigious photographic competition and to have two of the McMillens film photographs awarded with the highest honors is a true testament to the McMillens works captured on medium and large format camera systems. This marks the second time the McMillens have had a photograph awarded into the "Loan Collection", the previous being "Moody Blues", which has since sold out.
This achievement is a huge milestone in the McMillens photographic journey, to have one photograph awarded top honor is a treat, but to have two is mind blowing.
