Divisions of the World
We had arrived to the campsite late at night, it was warm and dark, we could here the ocean in the distance, we looked forward to waking early and trying to make some images at sunrise. The next morning we woke up early, camera bags in tow we headed to the beach under the light of our head lamps. The air was damp and warm, the marine layer was thick and I knew sunrise would be a bust, so we decided to take a short hike to a near by light house. We made a couple photographs of the light house (nothing great). Slowly overtime the marine layer started to burn off so we headed back to the beach. The swells were perfect, lined up like every surfers best dream. Quickly we went to work as my daughter played in the sand, we exposed two sheets of film, the second exposure became what we are calling "Divisions of the World", a simple take on the Pacific Northwest.
