Fingers of the Forest

We were both super excited to explore a new area in Olympic National Park. The canopy of the forest held out the rain for the most part as we searched for the perfect locations to capture on film. Stopping in out tracks we noticed these trees buried in moss. The backlighting was perfect. We framed up our medium format and got to shooting four very long exposures. The long exposure added depth and texture bringing out the the bold colors of this truly magical forest.
